In the 50’s and perhaps into the early 60’s, visitors to the Main Street Cinema might have found a cast member costumed as Lon Chaney’s famous ‘Phantom Of The Opera’ character lurking about, sometimes pretending to be a waxwork figure before startling them - the film itself played inside the cinema at times for many years.
Seen this outside a Restaurant recently. It did it’s job, it made me laugh and feel sympathetic towards brie cheese haha.
